1. Mickey Rickshaw gig at the Gypsy Rose

 

Mickey Rickshaw is a high energy Celtic Punk band from Boston Massachusetts currently touring their album ‘Behind The Eight Ball’ in Ireland.  1

After playing with some of the biggest names in Punk in the US such as Rancid and The Street Dogs they are now spreading their wings across Europe. Today, they will be having The Black Pitts as a special Guest.

Every Thursday, you can join the Table quiz at The Ballroom, a The Grand Social venue that houses regular club nights where the best of local djs spin the best of indie, electro, alternative, soul, ska, rock, reggae, rock n roll – tunes that make you move and shake. A club venue and bar with downstairs snug, spacious ground floor club and boho-circus themed venue.

Today they will be holding a free admission table quizz on general knowledge, music, film, sports and2 entertainment (you know how this works, I’m certain you also have won every now and then at Trivia). Take a pint and let your inner competitor free in a friendly atmosphere. Don’t forget that you can win great prizes for your team!

3. Dublin Jam Session

The Dublin Jam Session is an open Jam with full back line. It is open to all levels of musicians and singers and all genres of music and the only rule is that you must jam with others (not all your own band).

It takes place in the Tivoli Backstage every Thursday and admission is free.You’ll only have to bring your instrument and come a little bit earlier to sign in. Ready to let the music take control of your body?

4. Special Consensus concert

Special Consensus is a superb vibrant bluegrass outfit in a classic vein but with more than enough modern sensibilities to attract every ear in this now. The band approaches this hallowed American musical form with boundless energy.4

Today they will be playing Pavilion Theatre, a great place to begin the 2017 tour!

5. Karaoke night at Woolshed Baa & Grill

Hear people attempt to sing the classics, the one-hit wonders, the ridiculous, and the downright cheesy, each week and you’re guaranteed to have a fantastic night out, even if you don’t sing (at first).
